Another pair and some finds

Pajamas for Patric.

Perhaps another pair of pajamas?

Most of these pieces are pure wool and about a metre or more in length. Believe it or not, it's not that easy to find these days. Almost all the wool that I looked for a couple of years ago was a blend. The dark green on the right is a felt and the blue print is 2 metres of cotton. This whole lot cost me just $15.00 at Value Village on seniors' day. I didn't want to buy anymore fabric but I just couldn't pass up the wool. There are two little boys and two little girls that may need some new clothes in the future.

On a side note: Did you Canadians know that Fabricland no longer carries Simplicity patterns? It's been about a year now, I was told by the staff at one Fabricland. That was my most favourite pattern company. The patterns were easy to use, easy to read, easy to understand and easy to put together. The fit was good too. I have no idea where I can purchase Simplicity patterns now - other than online at higher prices and then there's shipping....

  1. I didn't know that! It's been awhile since I've bought a pattern, clearly!

I agree with you though - when I did lots of garment sewing, I usually bought Simplicity.

  2. I remember Simplicity patterns from when I was a kid! I haven't looked for patterns in years so I have no idea whether they are still about over here. I'll keep an eye out for you.

  5. Apparently simplicity was doubling the price of there patterns. At least that's what I was and that is why they chose to drop them. I miss them too!
