Halton Quilt Show - Part two

Lots more eye candy.

Just a few quilts to celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday.

Sorry about the glaring lighting. There were actually two of these Gypsy Wife quilts and I couldn't get a good photo of either because the lighting got in the way.

I do like this quilt - the colours, the stars and the setting. The randomness of it all.

I have always liked the idea of a woven pattern.

Once again, I'm sorry about the glare.

Here's a couple of close-ups.

Hand applique and hand quilting.

So much movement just from some pieces of fabric.

Just goes to show you what you can do with some striped fabric.

Once again, tune in tomorrow for more...

  3. Another virtual tour to brighten our days, thank you Dolores! I so appreciate the focus on hand work, quilting and appliqué. It's rather rare at the shows these days, as quilting morphs into a more mechanized artform.
