Quilt show photos - Part two

My old laptop is slow to boot up and so I have been slow to post anything on this blog. I shall have to do better in the future. Each photo I take and download is then edited in size so it doesn't take up too much room on my blog. It all takes time.
So, here are the rest of the quilt show photos. Don't forget to click on the photos if there is something that you wish to enlarge and get a better look at.

This was such a nice surprise because even though it was a whole cloth quilt, it had subtle colouring for the birds.

This is quite a large paper piecing endeavour.

This just seems to glow.

Well, that's it for this quilt show. There were lots of very big quilts and it was an interesting show. Judy and I had a cup of tea and then we went our separate ways. There is another quilt show in May that I might attend and since it's in Judy's home town we will meet up again.

I hope you liked the photos and saw something that gave you inspiration in your own quiltmaking.

Quilt show photos

I attended the Region Of York Quilters Guild quilt show on April 6th with my friend Judy. She used to belong to the guild before she moved out of the area. Since we didn't see each other last year, it was nice to catch up with her. Even though there were vendors at the show and we browsed their wares, neither one of us purchased anything. It was a busy show with lots of attendees. I hope you find some inspiration in the following photos.

The colours are just so vibrant.

What a lovely, bright quilt.

The good old maple leaf.

Subtle colours and a big difference from the first two quilts.

This is a close-up of just one of the blocks. I think all of the Santa's had textured beards.

This is just overwhelming. I don't know how the quilter made it so it all fit well.

That's it for today. I'll post the rest of the photos tomorrow.
