Once upon a time, when I was 13 years old, I made a hooked rug. It most likely was a kit but I can't remember where it came from or how I came to have it. However, I do remember working on it and when I finished it, I told myself that it would be given to my first born child. I can't remember when I gave it to Laila but she kept it for her first born child - Luc. Here it is and I do think it should finally be used as a rug or hung on the wall or whatever.
I still like it and think it's cute.
It's lovely! and I think you ought to put a label on the back, telling it's history for future generations. x
ReplyDeleteHello Dolores,
ReplyDeleteOh this is so sweet. Have you made any more since then?
Happy days.

Very cute!
ReplyDelete... and, it absolutely is!
ReplyDeleteYou're right - it's charming and should be used.
ReplyDeleteIt is very cute indeed and how wonderful that it's still around after all those years. The first year I was married I had received a rug hooking kit of an owl and I remember enjoying making it. I think I sold it in a yard sale though. lol One thing I learned, when someone asked me what craft I did and I said "hooking", I got some strange looks! lol xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat's the cutest one I've ever seen!!! Darling, and I'm so glad Luc gets to enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSweet...
ReplyDeleteI have some such projects hiding in my sewing room... somewhere! lol!!
