Block one

I changed it up a bit but here's the first block of Bunny Hill's Pumpkinville. The original was a bit bare.

It has no cat and I'm not sure if I will add one or not.

I'm linking up with the Needle and Thread Network. Go over and take a look at what other Canadians are up to this week.

  1. lots and LOTS of very fine stitching there, love the tree details, looks very like a NZ fabric of our native fern. A cat, well I think a cat needs a home, and would fit in so well. How many more blocks are there, is this a BOM pattern? Greetings from Jean.

  3. What a sweet project this is Dolores! If this is for a child, I'd add some kind of animal! When I was teaching and brought along puppets, the kids would always ask"Do you have a cat (or dog) puppet!!

I'm doing owl wall hangings with lots of fabric strips needing cutting.I am getting used to the cutting now.I have 12 hangings on the go.I think they might sell well at the Gift Shop.Owls are "big" over here at the moment.I think owls have always been a favourite motif for children.

  6. Oh this is adorable! I love it! I love Bunny Hill's whimsical patterns. You are so patient, working with all those small pieces! I vote for the cat or some other cuddly creature!

  7. That is so adorable but it does need something...a squirrel maybe? or a cat?

  8. Nice work, Dolores! I like your changes, especially the scrappy pieced background is lovely! And I too recommend the cat, and I bet you know why... ;o)
