I never really liked my name. Being of Finnish descent, I would have liked a Finnish name. That's why my children all have names that are Finnish (the boys names and my youngest daughter's are anglicized in spelling.) Laila, Mark, Maili, Eric and Ayla.
My Names are " Anna Jean" but I had a nickname of Nan, and when I started High School decided to use one of my proper names, easier for school rolls, exams, etc. But at that time when I was 12 thought Anna was old fashioned so chose Jean . Now I know that Anna is not old at all. And on all legal documents need to use Anna Jean, of course.Dolores, a lovely name in my eyes.
