Every Inchie Monday #32

Rust: any film or coating on metal caused by oxidation; a stain resembling this coating.

Two little keys that I placed in a bowl with some vinegar. Wait a few days and voila, rust. They are on a fabric inchie that I distressed with acrylic paint, an ink pad and a marker. I think it's one of my favourite inchies.

  1. Hello Delores,

A very cute inchie, I never knew vinegar did this.
    Happy days.

  3. I love your rusty inchie. It would be cool to make a series of these for a wall quilt.

  6. Leave it to you to think of rusting two small keys and using them on an inchie:-) It turned out fabulous!!

I so enjoyed looking at all the pictures of the quilts you saw at the Halton Quilt Show. I think my very favourite was the wedding dress quilt, it was so gorgeous. Just when you think that people have run out of ideas for quilts, someone comes along with something like that:-) xoxo

  7. OK, I have to ask, is it really 1" x 1"? How cute is that? I've got some rusty things I picked up once when I was walking on the Leslie Street Spit ...

  10. It IS a great one Dolores. And I always think how strange it is that they look so much larger in a photo than they are in person.
