My portable design wall is not big enough to hang this quilt on it so I put it on my upstairs hall floor. The fabrics I chose, and showed a couple of posts back, really didn't have to match or co-ordinate. All you need for this pattern is to make sure that your thinner strip is darker than your other two. It is not complete until it has been quilted and bound and I won't work on another quilt from the book until I finish this one.
I don't know if you can tell...
from these photos...
but the green fabric has a directionality to it. I had to make sure that they were sewn correctly when I put the blocks together. I have a lot of the lightest fabric left so I may just use it up by putting it on the back. We'll see.

Thant must of been fun trying to keep the print pattern all going in the same direction. I went to the link you gave. Thanks for that. I joined up and will partipate too next time:)
I see my fingers and brain aren't working together today...oops:)
yes...tricky pattern aligning going on here.Well done Dolores. One day I might be able to make a quilt.
I like that pattern -- and the fashionistas say zig zags are the "in" thing, or was that last season? Hard to keep up, best to do what we feel like and worry about fashion later, eh?
It looks beautiful and I really love the colours as well. I can't even imagine trying to put it together, I would have made a total mess of it! lol xoxo
Now that is a different take on the old fashioned zig zag. Kinda neat!
I like that pattern. Is it available on the internet?
Great link Dolores, you know I love to see quilts, yours is looking a good contender :-) X X X
I love the soft fabrics in your zig zag!
Very nice choice of fabrics and pattern. Well done!
Looks great! I have the same problem when it comes to my design wall - there just isn't enough space on it!!
